Too often, we tend to look outside ourselves to justify the situations we are faced with, and the truth is, sometimes there are circumstances outside our control that will turn our world upside down. We are not victims… we are simply experiencing life’s challenges.
Unfortunately, too often we do not own what our contributions are to our own failures. Instead of seeing it, owning it, and fixing it, we engage in excuses; finger pointing, justifying, or blaming others. These ways of thinking are thieves. They are stealing our ability to take ownership and believe in ourselves. Belief in oneself is like theft insurance. When thieves steal my belief, I lose the energy to confront a tough issue, to be honest with myself, to improve a relationship or make the lifestyle change that I know needs to be made. You must believe that all is possible because you are in total control of your beliefs.
Explore how you can develop and strengthen your beliefs because that is what people who practice personal accountability do every day.
Have a great weekend!
