This week marked the beginning of our Regional Breakfast Meetings, starting with the Peninsula Region. These gatherings are more than just morning conversations — they’re intentional checkpoints where we reaffirm who we are, why we exist, and where we’re headed.
At the core of it all is this simple truth: Culture is Intero’s greatest asset. It’s not a buzzword or a campaign. It’s the collective heartbeat of how we treat one another, how we serve our clients, and how we show up every day.
While we continue to honor the original ten Core Values that have shaped us since day one, we’re also looking forward — with intention, clarity, and renewed commitment. This week, we introduced four core leadership principles that will guide us as we continue building a culture that not only thrives but inspires.
These principles — Empowerment, Innovation, Transparency, and Accountability — will be the focal point of our conversations in each region. If you weren’t at this week’s Peninsula meeting, I strongly encourage you to join us at one of the two remaining sessions:
- South County Regional Meeting – Tuesday, July 29th
- Silicon Valley Regional Meeting – Tuesday, August 12th
These meetings are important opportunities to align as a team and fully understand how these principles will shape our work, our leadership, and our relationships moving forward.
1. Empowerment
We believe in the strength of every individual at Intero — and we’re committed to giving you the tools, trust, and support to lead from where you stand. Whether you’re an agent on the frontlines or part of our administrative and leadership teams, you are empowered to make confident, impactful decisions. Leadership isn’t about micromanaging; it’s about guiding with purpose and trusting our people to rise.
Empowerment is the bridge between potential and performance.
2. Innovation
Real estate is changing faster than ever. The companies that will lead in this next chapter are the ones bold enough to challenge the status quo. At Intero, we embrace innovation not for its flash but for its function — solutions that make us smarter, faster, and more valuable to our clients and each other.
Innovation is our commitment to not just keep up, but to set the pace.
3. Transparency
Trust is built through truth. That’s why we communicate with clarity, openness, and consistency. Transparency means no hidden agendas, no surprises — just real conversations, shared goals, and mutual accountability. It’s the only way to build long-lasting partnerships that thrive.
Transparency clears the path for trust — and trust drives everything.
4. Accountability
This one is simple, but it’s not always easy. We do what we say we’ll do. We own our results. We don’t pass the buck or point fingers. And when things go sideways — as they sometimes will — we respond with solutions, not excuses.
See it. Own it. Fix it. That’s the Intero way.
These four principles aren’t just words on a slide. They’re the pillars we’ll stand on as we build a future defined by excellence, integrity, and unity.
Our leadership vision is clear: to cultivate a company where great people are inspired to do their best work in a culture that brings out their best self. Let’s lean into these principles and continue creating a place where our values aren’t just celebrated… they’re lived.
